Joselin St.Aimee, vocalista e cantante gospel, è nata in Inghilterra ma è cresciuta negli Stati Uniti dove ha vissuto in prima persona, sin da bambina, l’esperienza dello spiritual nelle chiese avventiste americane. La particolarità e la ricchezza di sfumature della sua voce fanno percepire all’ascoltatore la dolcezza d’animo di Joselin che considera il proprio talento canoro un dono del Signore attraverso cui far comprendere l’essenza divina della musica gospel.
Joselin vive in Italia dove si esibisce con i più importanti musicisti afroamericani presenti nel nostro Paese tra i quali ricordiamo Cheril Porter, Sherrita Duran, Crystal White, i Bronzeville American Gospel Group di Harold Bradely, figura leggendaria della musica afroamericana in Italia. Il gruppo ha anche partecipato all’evento “La bibbia giorno e notte” trasmesso interamente per 72 ore consecutive dalla Rai.
Joselin collabora con l’Halleluja Gospel Choir di Cheryl Porter, considerata una delle più importanti cantanti gospel presenti in Italia. Il coro si è esibito anche alla trasmissione Rai “Ti lascio una canzone” e, recentemente, ha cantato al matrimonio di Belen Rodriguez e Stefano De Martino. Ha inoltre partecipato come ospite al Torre Alfina Blues Festival e al Boston Green Festival
Nel 2012 Joselin, che si distingue per essere anche una cantautrice di talento, ha presentato il suo primo album musicale intitolato “Love Sacrifice”; un intenso viaggio emozionale fondato sulla tradizione degli “Spiritual”. Il lavoro è stato Prodotto dalla Goodwind Music Production, con gli arrangiamenti del Maestro Michele Bonivento, uno dei maggiori pianisti e organisti gospel e soul italiani.
Joselin promuove la cultura musicale afroamericana organizzando seminari e workshop in Italia e all'estero in collaborazione con Nehemiah Brown, figura di spicco della musica gospel in Italia, esibitosi nel 2003 davanti a Papa Woytila. Joselin è anche il Presidente e Direttore Artistico dell’associazione culturale no-profit "Acting Out English Academy", Joselin e il suo team hanno creato una tecnica di apprendimento dell'inglese che permette a chiunque di imparare la lingua in modo rapido e creativo attraverso la musica, il teatro e la danza.
Joselin St. Aimee is an American professional gospel recording artist, songwriter, playwright, educator, and actress. Her dynamic vocal talent and theatrical flare convey a powerful message of peace and cultural unity. She considers herself to be an ambassador of peace because of the messages in the music she performs which galvanizes, the betterment of human rights. On September 21st, 2016, for International Peace Day, Joselin created The Music For Peace Project, where she collaborated with artists from around the world that reside in Italy, to unite their talents for the purpose of Peace. The event took place at the Candiani Culture Center, in Venice Italy. Because of its success, the event will take place again At Candiani on September 21st, 2017 and is being endorsed by UNICEF Italia.. Joselin is no stranger to the stage, she has performed internationally throughout Europe, The United Kingdom, and The United States. In Venice Italy where she resides, she has had the opportunity to perform at some of Italy's most important venues. Teatro di Donizetti, Blue Note Milano, Arena di Verona, Auditorium di Milano, Umbria Jazz festival, Torre Alfina Blue Festival, Florence Gospel Festival, Trasimeno Blues Festival, and much more. She was featured on the syndicated television Station Rai Uno on a popular program called “Ti Lascio Una Canzone” and was a guest soloist on a televised program “Notte & Giorno” at The Vatican on Rai Uno a most significant Italian television station in Italy. She has shared the stage with some of Europe's most celebrated gospel and jazz artists. Cheryl Porter, Joyce Yuille, Harlem Voice Choir of New York, Harold Bradley, Sherrita Duran, Ken Bailey, Vincent Williams, Ronnie Jones, Joy Garrison, Nehemiah Brown, and countless others.
Her musical journey started at the tender age of 3 in London England. After her family relocating to Boston Massachusetts, she continued to develop musically through singing in church and performing in musical theater and competitions. Joselin was exposed to more musical wealth when she attended American Academy of Dramatic arts in Los Angeles California and Oakwood University in Huntsville Alabama, a historical black University that has a rich history with gospel and spiritual music. She had the fortunate opportunity to attend school and sing with some of the world's now famous artists, like Take 6, Brian McKnight, Chris Willis, and world renown opera soloist Ms. Angela Brown.
Her first CD “Love Sacrifice” was released in January 2012. Her song Rolling Raging sea was written by her and arranged by Michele Bonivento, renown Italian pianist, and arranger. The song was featured at The Boston Green Festival as part of The Future Springs project released in 2013 and produced by Goodwind productions. Her love for music, theater, and storytelling inspired her to create Freedom Warrior. A One Woman Gospel musical play written and directed by Joselin. It depicts the true story of Harriet Tubman, the runaway slave, an American hero. The performance debuted in March of 2015, at the Historical Teatro Della Murata and was recently performed at The Teatro Koble in March of 2017. Her mission in life is to use her talents to bring the message of hope and peace to the world through the performing arts.
